Daily Read is designed to keep reading personal. You can browse Discover, download books, and read without creating an account.

Information Daily Read handles

If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide Daily Read with a unique account identifier and, if you approve sharing them, your name and email address. Daily Read stores this profile securely on your device so it can recognize your account.

If you choose to sign in and use iCloud sync, Daily Read stores the following in your private iCloud database:

This information is used only to provide the app's account, library, reading, and sync features. Private CloudKit data belongs to the user's iCloud account and is not visible to codasite LLC through the CloudKit developer console.

Without Sign in with Apple and iCloud sync, reading activity and annotations remain on your device.

Book downloads

When you download a public-domain book, your device connects directly to the identified book provider, such as Standard Ebooks or Project Gutenberg. Those providers may receive ordinary network information, such as an IP address, under their own privacy policies. Daily Read does not send them your profile, reading history, highlights, or notes.

Tracking, advertising, and selling data

Daily Read does not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. codasite LLC does not track users across other companies' apps or websites, sell personal information, or use reading data for advertising.

Retention and deletion

On-device data remains until you remove it or delete the app. Signing out removes the locally stored Daily Read account credential. You can delete synced Daily Read data from your iCloud storage using Apple's iCloud settings.

Children

Daily Read is a general-audience reading app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling.

Changes

We may update this policy as Daily Read changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
